COVID-19 Information:

Test Accuracy and Specificity.

To ensure the highest quality, we are partnered with an iso accredited laboratory which adheres to the highest standards of quality assurance and quality controls. Clinical evaluation of the genesig real-time PCR coronavirus (COVID-19) CE IVD was conducted with contrived oropharyngeal (throat) swabs in a blinded trial. As of 4th of May 2020, independent clinical performance evaluations confirm primerdesign covid-19 CE-IVD and RUO assays are highly specific for detection of SARS-CoV-2 virus (previously called 2019-nCoV) and detection of coronavirus COVID-19 disease.

In December 2019, the Chinese public health authorises reported a number of cases of acute respiratory syndrome in Wuhan City, Hubei province. Scientists in China discovered the causative agent to be coronavirus (CoV), and found it to be a new strain which has not been identified in humans before. Therefore it was named COVID-19.

COVID-19 has now spread to 210 countries worldwide and is classed as a pandemic by the World Health Organisation (WHO). The focus of the world is to contain the spread of COVID-19.

COVID-19 has now spread to 219 countries and territories worldwide and is classed as a pandemic by the World Health Organisation (WHO). The is currently worldwide focus to contain the spread of COVID-19. 

Symptoms include: 

  • Fever/high temperature 
  • New, continuous cough 
  • Loss of sense of smell or taste 

 

If you have any of these symptoms the NHS is advising home isolation for 7 days and to order a COVID-19 test immediately, more information can be found on the NHS website. 

There are a number of travel restrictions in place due to Covid-19. Many countries require a negative COVID-19 test prior to entry. At Rightangled, we can provide Covid-19 testing for Fit to Travel certificates so you can enter any country which requires it. 

Following travel, upon return to the UK people are required to self-isolate for 10 days. However, through the Test to Release scheme, you can take a Rightangled Covid-19 test from day 5 onwards from arrival to shorten your self-isolation period if the result is negative. Rightangled is an approved provider of Test to Release and Day 2 and Day 8 COVID-19 PCR tests. Day 2 and Day 8 COVID-19 tests must be taken during the compulsory quarantine period. Evidence must be shown that these tests have been booked, otherwise travellers will be fined. How do you send the test kits?

Kits will arrive by post 1-2 working days after placing your order. The kit will be delivered by 24 hours tracked Royal Mail or DHL Express, please specify your preferred shipment courier on checkout.

Can I keep the kit for the future, in case I need a test later?

Yes, you can keep the kit for later. Our COVID-19 test kit has a shelf-life of 6 months.

How do I return my sample?

The kit box is equipped with a pre-paid return label. All you need to do is to seal the box with the sample inside, then deposit the box into any mailbox.

How long does it take to receive the results?

We aim to return the results within 24 hours from the date your sample is received.

How can I access my results?

After lab testing analysis, your report will be available through our website. You will be notified by email to log in to your account and access your results.

What if my symptoms get worse?

As per the current Government and NHS advice, use the NHS 111 online coronavirus service if:


1) You feel you cannot cope with your symptoms at home
2) Your condition gets worse
3) Your symptoms do not get better after 7 days
