Lariam 250mg tablets
Description
Lariam, also known as mefloquine, is a medication used to prevent and treat malaria. Malaria is a serious and potentially life-threatening disease that is spread by the bite of infected mosquitoes.
Lariam works by killing the malaria parasites in your blood and is most effective when taken before, during, and after exposure to the disease. It is important to start taking Lariam before you travel to an area where malaria is common and to continue taking it for the duration of your trip and for 4 weeks after you return.
This medication is well-tolerated by most people and has a low risk of side effects. However, some people may experience mild side effects such as nausea, dizziness, and headaches. If you experience any severe or persistent side effects, you should seek medical attention immediately.
Lariam is a safe and effective way to prevent and treat malaria. If you are traveling to an area where malaria is common, talk to your doctor about whether Lariam is right for you. #MalariaPrevention #Lariam
