To ensure effective and safe use of Zovirax Cold Sore Cream, follow these step-by-step directions:
Clean Hands: Before application, wash your hands thoroughly to maintain good hygiene.
Apply Early: Start using Zovirax Cold Sore Cream at the earliest sign of a cold sore (tingling, itching, or burning sensation). The sooner you apply it, the more effective it may be.
Dosing Frequency: Apply a small amount of Zovirax Cold Sore Cream (about the size of a small pea) to the affected area on or around the lips. This is typically done five times a day, approximately every 4 hours, unless directed otherwise by a healthcare provider.
Apply with a Clean Finger or Cotton Swab: Use a clean fingertip or a cotton swab to apply the cream. Avoid using your lips to spread the cream.
Wash Hands After Application: After applying the cream, wash your hands thoroughly to prevent spreading the virus to other areas of your body.
Continue Treatment: Continue using Zovirax Cold Sore Cream for a minimum of 4 days, even if the cold sore has healed. This ensures that the virus is fully suppressed.
